We’ll approach the waterfront by car and use snowshoes while on the ice. Our guide will introduce you to winter fishing, equipment and techniques. On the tour we’ll enjoy fishing and the surrounding nature. During the tour we will also drink some warm juice and have a small snack. Capacity: 2-10. What you need to bring: Warm clothes for cold winter conditions. Remember layering – it may get warm when walking but cold when fishing.

Winter biking is a great way to cover longer distances, yet it doesn’t compromise the direct immersion into the wild and sensing the silence of the surroundings. Fatbiking is a fun way to explore and add some thrill to the more usual walking and hiking! E-fatbikes are also available upon request. This guided fatbiking tour takes us through the best winter biking trails of the Pallas-Ylläs National Park. On the tour we’ll enjoy snowy forests and fabulous Lappish sceneries. Around halfway we’ll take a break enjoying snacks and the surrounding nature. What you need to bring: own suitable clothes for winter conditions and biking, good and warm shoes, your warmest gloves, water or other drink, a (thin) beanie or balaclava.

We drive with snowmobiles to locations in the forests. Depending on the spot, we either set up a campfire outdoors or in a wilderness shelter to provide us with some warmth as well as to create cozy surroundings to chat about Northern Lights and related stories. Distance on snowmobiles is 15 – 25 km. Northern Lights are not under our command, so on cloudy nights or during low solar activity we focus more on sensing the sleeping forest, listening to the whistling wind and creaking trees – or just the pure silence. What you need to bring: warm base layers to wear under the snowmobile clothing (provided by us), a warm beanie.

Compared to snowshoeing, skin-based skiing is smoother and quieter, though we cannot reach the highest tops. Either way, we’ll take you to our favorite places by the best routes in the area. On the tour you’ll hear about the local nature and animals but also about the Lappish lifestyle. This is an enjoyable tour where surrounding nature and calming atmosphere is the thing. Around halfway we’ll have a break with warm juice and a small snack. Also available is a leisurely-paced experience in the evening, when we head out of the village to spots with great views of the Northern skies and try our luck in seeing the Northern Lights. What you need to bring: your own, breathable but windproof clothes for winter conditions, skiing or hiking socks, extra beanie, extra gloves, a warm jacket for breaks.
