In the heart of Ylläs, surrounded by silence and snow, lies our 60-seat restaurant devoted to northern flavours and timeless hospitality. The concept, created with Chef Hans Välimäki, draws on classic French technique refined through Nordic ingredients featuring forest berries and wild mushrooms, and the bounty of the Arctic seas.

Though born within Jänkä Resort, the restaurant welcomes everyone visiting Ylläs, including locals, travelers, and anyone looking to enjoy good food in a calm setting. Warm materials, open design, and soft light create an atmosphere where you can sense the stillness, whether at the Chef’s Table or beside the fire.

Our seasonal menu offers a journey into the flavours of Lapland. Each dish combines Nordic purity with French technique, striking a balance between elegance and simplicity.

At the U-shaped Chef’s Table, guests get a front-row view of the kitchen in motion. It’s a rare experience in Ylläs, where the scent of butter, smoke, and herbs fills the air.

End your meal with a hand-crafted espresso or specialty coffee from our customized coffee machine, a quiet luxury that lingers beyond the last sip.

At Jänkä Restaurant, our own baker prepares bakery items by hand on weekdays, in small batches. The selection includes a seasonal bun and a buttery croissant – simple flavours, carefully and unhurriedly made.

Products can be pre-ordered by email at bakery@jankaresort.com at least 24 hours before pick-up. Orders are accepted from Sunday to Thursday by 11:00, with pick-up available Monday to Friday.

A limited selection of bakery items is also available on-site at Jänkä Restaurant on the baker’s working days.
